Hi, just wondering if anyone could help me. My parents have applied for the fuel allowance and have got rejected saying there income exceeds the income limit.

My father is on the Contributory state pension €230.30 pw (He is 74y)
My mother has a weekly income of €190 (She is 65y) She is not on a pension till next March.

I was looking up on the citizens Information website, it states:
"The assessable income limit for a couple (where the qualified adult is 66 or over) is €536.60 (€100 plus €230.30 plus €206.30)"

    Am I missing something here?
