    Hi Red Dwarf

I bought the Nikon D 3200 in September my first DSLR camera,I have no complaints with it, I would recommend it but my only issue which is not with the camera is the software that comes with it is not really that good so you will have to purchase photo shop or something similar for editing photos.

i have a 600d, and am a former nikon user. nothing wrong with nikon cameras at all, however entry level models do not have in-body auto focusing, so any lenses you buy will have to have an auto focus switch, should you wish to use auto focus. otherwise, the cameras are fairly similar, and your choice would just be down to whatever you like more. you should have a look in a camera shop, and feel both cameras, see which one you like best.

    Have a look here

You can compare specs and see which one suits your needs better.

In the same boat myself trying to decide on either ofthe following, Nikon D3200, D5200, Canon 700D or 100D.
