Okay, first off this is bit corny..:o:o

But basically I'm running idea of a tattoo through my head. I'm at the very early stages yet. But I want opinions. This may seem famine, but I don't care.

I want words that says: "the juice is worth the squeeze" Basicly it's a quote from a film. But I want to incorporate it into a picture. Or maybe a scroll with that, under a picture.

    Really interested in your opinions/ideas.
    Thanks

Why would it be famine? I don't think you understand what a famine is tbh.

also the film is the girl next door which also has nothing at all to do with famine

Okay, well that's just how I'm don't want some people to think it is.

Yup. Sure is. I just like that motto for some reason..

    Any ideas on the tat??

How about written on an orange juice carton in style of "tropicana" or similar.

    Hmmm, I like that.

But I'm not really a person with a good sense of humor. I was thinking of skull, snakes, wolf, bear, etc. I know it doesn't really make sense.

Just trying to keep away from citrus fruits. But thanks for the ideas..:)

How does that in any way work with the quote that you want?

none of these have nothing to do with famine?

What does this mean? A famine is a scarcity of food. Im not understanding your use of it in this context. I think if you are clearer in what you mean you will get better suggestions.

    What does this mean post.

edit this post! I'm having too much fun seeing how long it takes op to cop it

I have absolutely no idea what is going on in this thread.

    Loved that movie though.

I have a feeling the op meant "feminine" instead of "famine"...

Ah - that does make more sense.

I dont know the film in question, but would you not think of working the quote in with something from the film itself instead of a random image like a skull or a bear? I dont see how the quote connects with any of the things you mentioned.

I dont see how its a feminine quote either? (is it a rom-com movie maybe?).

Why not just go for the quote itself? Why do you need a bear or a skull with it?

I'm thinking you need to go off and have a serious rethink about the whole thing

What you should do OP, is get a tattoo of a wolf. Boring, right? WRONG, because this wolf happens to have machine guns for legs, and a tale of flames. His eyes look normal enough, until you look closer and realise that instead of pupils, he has those biohazard warning symbols. Real badass. But wait, there's more. He's wearing a collar with rusty nails for spikes sticking out of it, and a leash of chainlink chains rises from the top. Because it turns out this wolf is being taken for a walk, and who's holding the leash? Why it's none other than Ben ****ing Affleck, dressed in a military uniform. A real man's man extraordinare. Underneath, their lies a partial burned scroll, and in Cambria font, it says.... well, we know what it says. We can tell from the picture above it.

"The juice is worth the squeeze."

how about something like this, OP?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,579 ✭✭✭charlietheminxx

The movie is "The Girl Next Door" about a guy who hooks up with a porn star and he is a bit of a dweeb but starts taking chances and getting himself into risky situations because "the juice is worth the squeeze". That aside, it's a message of perseverance I suppose... Either way, OP it doesn't really go with the themes you've mentioned.

Well, would the quote look abit plain by itself? I really didn't see a picture of a lemon looking very well good...

That's why I was looking at a random picture stuck in. But that doesn't really make any sense either..

Ya, I did I just am on the edge of insanity at this stage.

This was the first and about the only thing that has come to me when looking at that quote. Very little else will work with that quote but as mentioned you could get the quote by itself. A nice font and some decoration, it won't look plain at all.

The problem is that any of the stuff you have mentioned will take away from the quote and make the overall tattoo suffer. I guess you could something with an anvil and a hammer but you're back to the citrus fruits. As a thought, you could twist it towards juice as in interest and go for a mafia/loan shark theme but I'd have to think more for any sort of concept.

However I really like the carton of juice one. Especially if you aimed towards a cartoony style and did it hourglass style so the it looked like it was being squeezed. Now you say this may not suit but if the film is about a guy taking chances, should you not take one yourself?

What about ragged starving people (from famine times) slaking their thirst with oranges held high and squeezed into their mouths? Bit complex maybe but with the quote may work?

Im not sure if your a guy or girl but ill give a suggestion.
anyway i would have a orange cut down the middle with six segments and id write each word in a segment. I think if this was done well it would be very good.
