I supply clutch / flywheels to alot of the motor trade locally and nationally
Last year i gave out a few bottles of vodka to the locals to mixed results
as some people dont drink, others dont like vodka:D

I had thought of money of vouchers as that would keep everybody happy
What do you think? boxes of sweets?? more alcohol :D
I know i dont get anything of my suppliers like i did in the boom years but i just want to show that i appreciate there business
    suggestions welcome

    thanks

I like the idea of money off vouchers...makes sure they return to you in January if anything.

Speaking. Of Christmas gifts, My dad runs his own company and has gotten everything from hampers to a robotic lawnmower! :pac:
The mother who doesn't know what a computer is got an iMac last year!:p

Wine is better as they can give it to someone else as a present. Bottles of whiskey always better received than vodka but I wouldn't turn anything down tbh.

couple of years ago the motor factors i used to work in always got in a pallet of ****ty wine. it wasn't a great gift but the customers were just happy that their custom throughout the year was recognised which is the idea of the present really.

got a MOOG woolly hat from another factors, a nice practical gift if you're a mechanic.

Wine and whiskey were the most common gifts I got when I worked in roles where I was a customer "deserving" of gifts.

One boss I had refused to allow the managers keep gifts though and raffled them off for the staff excluding the managers!

Something with your branding on it that they'll keep in the workshop during the year. A great way to remind them you exist.

Something like an LED torch with your brand/company on it?

For gifts, it's hard to beat booze. Either bottles of wine, or packs of beer. Can either be taken by the boss if he's a big meanie, or split between all the staff (as happens here).

If you want to give some promo material, I'd suggest either pens with your phone number on (saves having to look it up, and everyone always needs more pens).

I've also got a stack of small square bits of paper on my desk, in a square holder with branding from a tow bar company. Has their name, website, what they supply, and their phone number on. Bits of paper are handy for writing messages on, and it's always in my eye line to remind me of who they are and what they do.

But, I'd still send in beer.

You got some great ideas already, what was wrong with them?

I agree with the poster about getting something with your brand name on. It's probably too late now anyhow so maybe some cinema vouchers or www.one4all.ie vouchers.
    Boring but there you go.
