Hi all, a bit confused, as the wording on the dublin bus website isn't the best. For example if im going out on the wednesday night and getting the nitelink early thursday morning. ie 4am. Do i go by the wednesday 18th timetable or the thursday 19th timetable. So stick with the night your out, or go by the next day as its technically the next day your going home

    Thursday, November 28, 2013

When they say "Thursday 12th December 2013" they mean Thursday night/Friday morning.

Correct - so the only departures are at 00:30 and 02:00, which sounds a bit early for you!!

Even bank holiday Sunday nights when there really should be.

They did operate on Bank Holiday Sundays at one stage, but as I recall the numbers just didn't add up.

Last bank holiday Sunday night I was out and assumed they were running was October 2007. They weren't. I queued from 2am to 4:30am at the taxi rank and eventually had to call my wife to come in and collect me.

I think there was clearly demand, but Sunday nights for some reason were always different.

Hello all, first time posting in this part of boards :)

So, the latest on Thu 19th (or Fri 20th) is 2am, is that right?

Also, question, how dodgy is it for a girl on her own to get the Nitelink? Am I nuts to consider it?!

(I'd be going from town to Penny Hill Cross)

On the night of Thursday 19th and the night of Friday 20th, a full service will operate up to 04:00.

Sit downstairs and you'll be fine.

Trust me, I've used the 25N regularly for years, the worst that will happen is that you'll have to join a sing along with a bunch of people without a note in their heads :) . You'll be grand!

The over-supply of taxis we now have did not occur until a few years ago - two and a half hours to get one from a rank on a bank holiday Sunday would be perfectly normal six years ago.

There were a few places you'd have a good chance of getting a car earlier if you were clearly able to stand upright / unlikely to cause an issue and could flag one on its way to a rank but that was very much luck based.

    Which I'll probably instigate :D:o
