Was told by a co-worker this morning that one of my headlights was gone, and went to Halfords this evening to fix it, was told a pack of two bulbs was 19 euro and 16 euro to fit them both.It is an 09 ford focus TDCI. I (maybe mistakenly ) thought this was a bit exorbitant so said I would look else where as have had them replaced before and don't recall it being that expensive.

Is that the general price and fitting fee charged by Halfords, I am based in limerick city, can anyone recommend anywhere cheaper than this?

    Thanks!!

Halfords are terribly expensive for bulbs. What you'd spend on regular bulbs there would go a long way towards something like Osram Nightbreakers at a motor factors. Their fitting charge mighn't be insane depending on the car. Some modern cars are hard work to change bulbs on.

If you're looking for bulbs, any of the motor factors will have them. See what your owner's manual says about fitting. You can probably find a howto online too.

Was charged €3.99 for fitting a sidelight by Halfords Castlebar, €7.99 is the fitting price for headlight.

Buy at a local motor factors instead and fit yourself.
Change both at the same time, the other will probably die soon anyway.
    Do it tomorrow ;)
