Options for large sofa

Purchased a large sofa recently, the dimensions are suitable for the living room but it is proving difficult to get the sofa in through one of the doors. We had an upholster guy look at it and he feels that if it was taken apart it would possibly deteriorate because part of the back is made of chipwood. The only 2 options we have is to sell it on or else try getting the windows taken out. Does anyone have an idea of how much this would cost or similar experience?

I might be stating the obvious, but have you taken the door down and tried again to get the sofa through? That is what we had to do.

it might be possible to get it in if you get the largest pane of glass out of the window, measure if this would work then calla glazer it probably wouldn't cost too much depending on the type of window

You would be surprised at the size you could get in, by taking of the door and pivoting it. Selling it you lose money straight away and still have buy a new one.

Going to a glazer might be your best bet, can take out most windows and replace the seals in minutes. Depends on your windows. had a friend do it to a neighbours house after she locked herself out before he's worked as a window fitter for years
