i done this a few years ago, getting close depends on how much the rabbits are hunted/lamped,if no one else lamps them.one can get well in range with a shotgun.i now use a .22 with sak mod,i find much quieter:D

You will get close enough just make sure the wind is right.

Used to shoot rabbits with an old Baikal using 32g no 5's. Good success too as I wasn't long shooting at the time.

Best of luck - though you'll have more success on the bunnies if the night is calm as they don't really like being out if the wind is blustery. Shot placement is obviously easier too if your not being buffeted by gusty winds

Heading out in the next half hour for some so will let you know how I get on. The new video recorder I got has clamps and attachments so il be using them on the shotgun. Handy for areas that are lumped and running rabbits can be picked off with shotgun

I seen a fox a good bit away but he was in a neighbours garden and that's 3rd or 4th time I've spotted him there. There's no chickens in it so maybe he's after the cat food.
Seen one today with what looked like a cock pheasant in his mouth. Big fox aswell
