Boyfriend jumped to death after girlfriend insisted on going to another clothes shop

A man jumped to his death after a furious row with his girlfriend who insisted they go into another clothes shop.
CCTV shows Tao Hsiao, 38, escorting his girlfriend around a shopping mall in Xuzhou, Jiangsu
    province, east China.
After five hours Tao finally had enough and demanded to go home.

Eyewitnesses say he could be heard saying they already had more bags than they could carry, but she insisted on going into one more shop where the was a special offer on shoes.

An eyewitness said: 'He told her she already had enough shoes, more shoes that she could wear in a
lifetime and it was pointless buying any more.
'She started shouting at him accusing him of being a skinflint and of spoiling Christmas, it was a really heated argument.'
The shouting match ended when the man chucked the bags on the floor and jumped over the balcony, smashing into Christmas decorations on his way down before hitting the floor seven stories below causing shocked shoppers to flee in panic.
Emergency services arrived at the scene but Tao was killed immediately from the impact of the fall.
A shopping spokesman said: 'His body was removed fairly quickly.
'He actually landed on one of the stalls below and then fell to the floor so although the store was damaged it meant he didn't hit anybody.
'This is a tragic incident, but this time of year can be very stressful for many people.'

'A shopping spokesman said: 'his body was removed fairly quickly.' Capitalism restored. You may resume your shopping experience. Nothing to see here.

Been there, man. Went shopping with an ex. She brought me to 18 shoe shops and ended up buying the first pair she had in her hands at the start of this ridiculous escapade. Red flag instantly.

Problem solved. Christmas shopping this year took 25 minutes, thanks to Amazon.co.uk. 25 minutes as opposed to a whole day acting the bo11ocks going around town in the p1ssing rain.

    No contest. ;)

There's only so much, 'does my bum look big in this?' a man can take.

After 5 hours the balcony would have started looking mighty attractive for a lot of men.

Serious need for men's crèches in shopping centres where the WAGS could drop off their significant others' for an hour or two.

I love my wife dearly, I don't go shopping with her because like above no matter what she's looking for she invariably buys it from the 1st shop we stop in, can't understand it, if you like it buy it!

Reminds me of the time my wife rings me to give my opinion on a dress she was thinking of buying. It was Christmas and I was having a pint with a friend but she wouldn't take no for an answer so I walk 15 minutes across town and have a look. For the first time ever I really didn't think it suited so I told her to which she replied "what would you know anyway" and promptly bought the dress.

First of all I hate shopping but the most obvious answer as to why we don't buy in the first shop is because we might see a nicer item in another shop or same item cheaper. Simples.

Obviously that's an extreme example but I will never understand these women who bring their boyfriends/husbands shopping with them.

I call BS on this article. The Chinese don't even celebrate Christmas expect a few western hotels. This women wouldn't have been determined to buy **** Christmas as its just another day for her.

Something tells me there were other things at play with him other than having a pain in his hole with all the shopping.

I don't really see a need for this thread tbh.

It's only purpose is to have a pop at the wimmins, and laugh at a guy who committed suicide. No thanks.

If anyone thinks of any good reason to reopen it I'm more than happy to hear them, just drop me a PM.
