My Jobseekers Benefit is only EUR 153 (or thereabouts) per week

I know that JobBridge give you your max "dole" + 50 extra.

People assume this will be EUR 188 + 50
but I only get 153 to begin with. So would I get 153 + 50?

I tried to ask in my local SW office and they were so offensive,
and said "you will get what everyone else gets" without going into figures.

I want to do an "internship" but I might be better off staying on the dole and informally just working for free maybe 2 days a week with a company for experience without being on any "scheme"

How are you both on reduced dole with eligibility for jobsscam and working as a contractor http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057101364?.

    I have a PAYE job for 1 or 2 days a week,
and work as a contactor for 0 to 7 days a week.

I am on Casual Jobseekers benefit and complete the yellow docket every week.

It's hard to make a living....

how does that work a PAYE worker and self employed and in receipt of JA?

JB is what I have, not JA....

JB is based on contributions in the past (when times were better!)

You will retain your current social welfare allowance plus an additional €50 per week top-up which will be paid by the Department Social Protection (DSP). This top-up will be paid for the duration of the internship.

Taking up an internship other than under the JobBridge scheme may affect your eligibility for Jobseekers payment.
