    What would happen if it was over fed too weanlings? Would it be like cows, would they go thin if energy wasnt high enough in diet!!

    Agreed. I'm mixing abit with the weanlings ration to make up for the poor CP in the silage, but really only a short term measure. Its the biggest problem with maize or any of these other low P fodder, you might have lotsa of fairly cheap energy, but balancing the protein will cost you dearly.

    I've used it this year for first time and I'm well impressed with results......but here comes the silly question can it cause respiratory problems..its very fine and dusty and the weanlings I'm giving it to have a bad cough for the period of time they have been on it (4/5 weeks)not sick just coughing rest of cattle in shed grand ...I suppose I could stop it and see is there any difference

    Unlikely to be the cause. A lot of respiratory problems in weanlings this year, maybe lungworm or virus, i would try a shot of levacide and one again in 10 days or if already covered for lungworm a 10 day course of antibiotics powder in the meal. Do act it won't go away only get worse. Check for temperature.
