Hi I have a few questions i hope to get a few answers to

I am married with 4 children , I work full time and my wife works part time in a creche . My wages ar around 400 take home and my wife 250 , We have 2 children in school and 2 in creche . So my wife works mornings which allows her to mind all 4 in evening at home . Her work has told her they do not have them hours for her any more and she will have to change to 3 full days , this is a drop in wages and a big increase in creche fees because school kids have to go after school . First off i would like to know where does she stand . 2nd what would she be entitled to if she left while finding another job . She really wants to find another job but would like to know what would her option be in mean time .

As for jobseekers have a read here http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/social_welfare/social_welfare_payments/unemployed_people/jobseekers_benefit.html
    Note this part
You must have suffered a substantial loss of employment in any period of 7 consecutive days to be eligible for Jobseeker's Benefit (casual workers and retained firefighters with no other employment are exempt from this rule). This means that you must have lost at least one day's employment and as a result of this loss be unemployed for at least 4 days out of 7 days. Your earnings must also have been reduced because of the loss of employment. You may be disqualified from getting Jobseeker's Benefit for 9 weeks if you:
    • Left work voluntarily and without a reasonable cause
