    this seriously needs to happen
    Copy paste from another thread:
I would love to see Daft Punk on Top Gear as guests, just imagine how awesome this would be:

Jeremy introduces the band as top-selling musical robots, and states that the Stig adamantly insisted that he get to do the interview. Something about them being long lost relations. Ladies and Gentlemen, Daft Punk!

The camera pans over the perplexed crowd as Daft Punk (in full robot regalia) enters through one side, and the Stig enters through the other.
They approach the table simultaneously, in silence.
The Stig gestures at the couch and all three sit down, the Stig in Jeremy's usual spot.
They sit in utter stillness and silence for a full 30 seconds before the Stig turns his head to the monitor and they cut to a montage of footage from the practice laps.

No audio commentary, of course, just the robots driving around the track.
[Bonus if they can integrate Daft Punk's robot heads into the regulation crash helmets.]

The montage ends, and the crowd nervously applauds.
The Stig and the robots turn away from the monitor and look straight at each other.
After another 15 seconds of silent staring, all three simultaneously and smoothly turn back to the monitor, and it cuts to a split screen display of both robots' timed laps.

Again, no commentary as the robots navigate the course, and the video has been edited to show nothing but pure, calculated precision.

After they cross the line, cut back to the studio where all three simultaneously turn away from the monitor and look toward each other.

The Stig reaches for a timed-lap-magnet on the table, as both members of Daft Punk lean forward, slightly. As the Stig picks it up, the robots look toward each other, then back to the Stig.

The Stig stands and places the magnet, which has been pre-printed with Daft Punk's stylized logo, and with the lap time in a clean, bold sans-serif font.

No explanation is given why there is only one lap time.
The crowd applauds, and the robots stand up. All three turn and silently walk away from the platform.

The shot cuts to Jeremy, still in the crowd. He looks confused and slightly worried. "Ladies and Gentlemen ... Daft ... Punk ... ?" Hard cut to black, opening the next segment.

just picturing it in my head, it would be epic
