VW Indicator lens replacement

    Hi just wondering has anyone ever replaced the indicator lens on the mirrors of a vw golf mark 5? I need to do it on mine and have the lens got itself but when I was looking it up online the procedure seems kinda complicated and requires some specialised tools such as removal levers and wedges which are made by VW! Is it necessary to purchase these tools and if so from where? Seen some of them on a US website but they were quite pricey in and around $40! Any help would be much appreciated!!
