Conferring ceremony invitation limit

I'm just wondering how strict is the limit of two attendees per graduate for the conferring ceremony? As both my parents and my grandmother wish to attend. Might they all be admitted on the day if there are spare seats available for whatever reason (due to no shows, people only bringing one guest, etc)?

I've emailed academic affairs to ask, but just wanted to know if anyone had first hand experience of this from previous years.
