    Hi,

Does anyone know any good websites for booking hotels in Mexico - something along the lines of HotelRewards??

I'm looking to go to Cancun in particular...

    Thanks!

When I was there last year I booked with oteldotcom. The hotel I wanted was the least expensive on this website. But I guess there is no rule so probably you need to check all major sites.

I'd recommend this one, top class service and food http://www.fiestamericana.com/moviles/fiestamericana/

Royal cancun is an amazing hotel with excellent restaurants on site... a bit pricey at about €300 a night but worth indulging. They also have a sister hotel in playa del carmen which you can transfer to if you fancy a change... equally as nice and in a town definitely worth visiting.

Cheaper alternative but still very high quality is the beach palace, or any of the palace group for that matter.

Price varies by website & no single website offers the best deals across the board. Have gotten some good deals on travelrepublic and alpharooms in the past, but would be useful to check price comparison websites.

I spent 6 nights in cancun in November.

Cancun hotel depends on what you want. We stayed in the Intercontinental. If you want a lovely hotel, with the best part of the beach of the entire hotel zone, with a lagoon that let's you walk out perhaps 100 yards waist height, and great best service, this is the place to be. Its on the short side of the hotel zone "7"

However it's not a party hotel, so it's not a lively joint, no pool games or lively pool scene. Most of the other hotels have a very narrow beach, and the water on the long side of the "7" isn't protected and thus is rougher.

    Just my 2p worth.
