White primed door, MDF face cracking off timber core

I purchased a few doors recently, White primed with timber core and MDF face, and have noticed that a 1mm-wide crack has formed down the side of one of them where the MDF meets the timber core (see pic here).

Here's a planed-off cross-section of what the door looks like under the paint layer

Now I could be imagining things but I'm pretty sure that the crack is getting longer each day.

I've called the door shop and they are going to send out someone to look at it, but am I right in assuming this can't be repaired and that I should ask for a replacement?

    Thanks

Who fitted lock in the door ?

If hole for lock was tight / a bit to narrow then as the door cliamatise to the house it shrinks a fraction. Lock causes cracking.

Guys who fitted door also fitted the lock. Is this sort of cracking normal or something to worry about?

I'm worried that moisture might get in, even if I paint the doors the gap is wide enough that the crack will come through again.

it's not a crack to be honest it's the front panel separating from the middle section and yes is will get worse and the panel will fall off in due time,,,,mdf doors are glued and this often happens,,,nothing to do with the lock,,,,fill the gap with a glue or a tube of no more nails simple as and paint
