    Hi Everyone,

With Christmas rapidly approaching I'm looking at buying lots of craft beer to get me through the Christmas. We are the best deals to be had? I'm only aware of the 6 for 5 at superquinn. What do you all do? Is it worth a trip to the north?

    Thanks in advance!

    Drinkstore do bulk buy rates.

Only applies if you buy multiples of a specific beer though.

If you are thinking of going to Northern Ireland we were in Asda in Portadown yesterday and they are doing 4 bottles for £5.

    Generic Craft Beer?

    Who makes that?

If you go on the ASDA website you can find out, the deal is mostly for ASDA own brand beer and Ales, I have no idea what they taste like, they have a good selection of English Ales but not much in the was of Irish, U.S. or European craft beer

McHugh's have Founders Centennial IPA, Founders Dirty Bastard Scotch Ale & Founders Porter for a mere €2.65 a 355ml bottle which I think is great value for superb quality beers ;)

€5 delivery charge for Greater Dublin area & €6 delivery for the rest of the country :D

This is incorrect, the deal is not mainly for ASDA own brand, to name a few of the ales on offer:

    Old Speckled Hen
    Golden Hen
    tangle foot
    Badger Champion
    Balck Sheep
    Deuchers IPA
    Badger Fursty Ferret
    Green King ales
    Whitewater ales

They have a lot more than that, non ASDA own brand, they are clearly listed on the website.

The best deal that I have come across is a case of Modus Hoperandi for €40 in drinkstore. You need to bear in mind that this is a beer you can't get in most US states, it's 355ml and is a bloody beautiful 6.8% IPA.
One thing to note, the best before date is January 2014 but Ska put a 4 month best before on these cans, the reason for that is hoppy IPAs will lose start losing their hop character after a few months. That means these were canned recently and if consumed by January, they will be considered fresh but they will last much longer.

I ordered two cases and got free shipping.

Nice one, Ill try the Modus Hoperandi. I bought a case of Sierra Nevada celebration for 48 euro. Its past its best before by two months and it still tastes excellent. I also got a great deal on founders Centennial IPA, 4 for a tenner.
    I love drinkstore.ie!
