Vodafone ADSL2+ Sync but no Internet

    Hi,

I've been talking to Vodafone tech support and we've tried everything so they are sending an engineer out.

    Problem:
ADSL2+ Sync but no IP Address nor DNS Server after upgrade to 24MB

    Checked:
    Username and Password for PPPoE
    8/35 for VCI and VPI
    Synced up at ADSL

I'm out of ideas, I imagine the problem is at the DSLAM at the exchange but I'm just wondering has anyone had this problem before and how did it resolve?

What's the router make and model?

    TP-LINK TD8816
I've also tried a Zyxel Prestige 623R but this only syncs ADSL but still no ip.

They wont be sending an engineer to you, they're sending the same guy who did the upgrade to back to fix his mistake. He jacked you into the wrong port so you wont be able to authenticate.

Most likely you'll be back by this time tomorrow.

    Using a vodafone account?

I had someone do a sync check at the exchange to prove it wasn't a line fault

Ok the authentication worked finally coincidentally worked about 10 minutes after I hung up on the call to tech support. I dropped to ADSL and then back up to ADSL2+

Now Vodafone won't admit but I think something between their RAS Server, or whatever they do authentication at, and their IP Pool was changed.

They tried to fob me off a few days with sending out a new modem :(

Its an issue with CSID on changing port from ADSL to ADSL2+

VF need to check this for you and update the authentication server.

You can use any login and password but must be activited first by operator.
