I topped up with 5 EUR on my new SIM but nothing happened. No SMS to activate nothing.

I am feeling a bit low as i was planning to be with TESCO for long.......no proper reply on FB, here or on calling customer care.

Customer care told me that it will be setup but nothing from them :mad::mad:

On the same boat here, nothing happens after more than 48 hours, i think i will use up the 5euro top up and bye bye tesco :) their signal isn't the best even though it's on O2 network.

I've never had an issue getting through on the phone and they have a Talk to Forum here, as well as someone manning a twitter account. It's not that hard really.

It takes a day or two for the text to arrive. When it arrives reply free. It took mine exactly 26 hours from when I topped up for the text to arrive. It does say in the terms and conditions that it might take up to 48 hours.

The elastic band seems to have snapped on the T&C page. Does a €5 top-up cover 5G/month for 3 months or do you have to top up every month?

Just a once off top-up of €5 minimum. You will then get a text within 48 hours to which you reply FREE. Once activated you will get a recurring 5GB bundle every 30 days for 3 months.

Think there systems are running a bit slow. I registered online and it said the password will be sent to the phone. I didn't get it until about 3 or 4 days later.

In the conditions it says "Use of the free data through tethering of your mobile handset to other devices is allowed."

I presume the Huawei E5220 Wi-Fi Mobile Wireless Modem could be used with the SIM?
The modem is 50 euro with three.ie for pay as you go plan and the unlock codes can be got on ebay it seems.
    Has anyone tried this?

Just ordered a Sim online for Free, I always thought Tesco sims were €2.50 or something. I might consider doing what the above poster said and buy a mobile Mifi device.
