    1. What is your budget? ~750 if it's really worth it, though I'd be aiming for the 650 region

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Gaming, Total War, Team Fortress 2, Fallout 3, maybe Skyrim

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Yes

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? I've an old Dell desktop that I can use for parts, as far as I can see all the parts are there, a 160GB hard drive, model number ST3160023AS, a CD drive, though I don't know the model number, same for the PSU and case
I don't think they're in the best of shapes though

    5. Do you need a monitor? Yes

5a. If yes, what size do you need. 19 or 20 should do, I'm not too picky

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? I'd need a wireless card, keyboard and mouse, don't about any of the other stuff though, like I said I'm pretty new to all this

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? Yes

    8. How can you pay? Credit Card/PayPal

    9. When are you purchasing? If I can get any after Christmas bargains, I'd be willing to wait until then, otherwise in about a week

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? North Co. Wicklow

Edit: If needs be, I can scab a monitor off a friend

You'll probably need closer to €750 if windows and monitor is required. Its hardly worth reusing the old HDD (Maybe DVD if its SATA) I'd say. Something like this would be a decent baseline for gaming, just the box and monitor but it comes to €570 delivered (excluding windows and monitor/peripherals).

If you can get the monitor elsewhere that €115.09 could certainly improve one or two things (SSD or perhaps an i5 build). The GPU is plenty powerful for the games mentioned, so probably not worth spending much more on that.

That's absolutely class man, cheers :)
I had no idea monitors were so much, I'd better start asking around for one
Would it be worth adding in another €115 of funding to get a SSD or i5? Are they really that much of an improvement?
Cheers again, I'll be starting on this pretty soon I think

Very little between games in AMD and Intel and I don't think that is going to chanfe anytime soon. SSD is nice to have but not a necessity. Just means windows and your main programs open faster unless your going for one thats like 512GB which is expensive enough

Yeah neither are really necessary, you're not going to benefit much immediately from an i5 build, but something like the i5-4670K would probably have a slightly more longevity, and you might knock an extra year or two out of it in the long run. (On the other hand it will eat up most of that €115 right away ;).

SSD nice to have but I probably wouldn't on this budget and it is always something you could add at a later date reasonably easily.

You don't have to do either and will have a very nice gaming PC regardless, but if you were to pick one I'd go for the chip upgrade option right now.

I think I might be waiting a while for the graphics card, does anyone know any replacements?
