Problems seeing pics on'What's new'

Anyone having problems seeing friends pics and videos in the whats new section? I click in and I just see a blank box. Unless I create one, then I can see it fine...can't seem to find anything through google to suggest anyone else is having the same? Is there privacy setting I'm forgetting to switch on or something?…
