Inlet camshaft is the one furthest away from exhaust manifold

Can I ask why are you looking for the inlet cam?

Engine management light is going on and off intermittently and husband had a mechanic test it and look up the code. The mechanic said it was the inlet and replaced it but he replaced the one nearest to the exhaust and to me that would be the outlet??? Cost us £100 for replacement and I think he did the wrong one. dunno - could be wrong here but it just seems logical to me x

If it is the Ghia 1.6 petrol then it would be.

Which code is it? Are we quite sure it was the camshaft, and not a camshaft position sensor?
