Not sure if this is the appropriate section or not.

Ive never participated in them before but did a little research last night. Apparently they start from the 26th onwards. I was just wondering whats the best way to take part in them?

I will be looking for a tablet at a good price with decent specs. Will the offers be on websites the night before or is it a case of just show up and run through a store frantically trying to find a bargain?

I would like to be able to know what im looking for the night before to save hassle.

Anyone got any plan of action for this?

Buy some mothballs so you can learn to avoid "bargains" with that smell.

Invest in a sleeping bag , stake out your place now.

Research your prices. Most real bargains are on things like clothes and furniture. Electricals not so much.

How much do you want to spend on a tablet ?

    Aldi have one for €99 ( €89 if you have a €10 voucher ;) )
best start queuing for that now as supplies will be limited and blood may be spilt. Lidl have one too and €10 vouchers, but it's not that good.

I bought a laptop for €299 in tesco two years ago. It was old stock having been made in 2010. And here's the thing I would have expected today's €299 laptops to be better but I just haven't seen anything in the €350 range that's appreciably better than it, just USB 3 and virtualisation ( I'm keeping any eye out for a bargain i3). There just haven't been real bargains in entry level laptops since then.

I suspect the same is true of decent tablets what with supply and demand. You might be lucky but I wouldn't count on it, unless you find an unwanted christmas present in adverts.ie and even then you might have to worry about the warranty without a receipt.

I was hoping everything would be on sale including tablets, bit of a let down, was looking for a bargain one, maybe e50, ever since i saw the e21 one ive been giddy to get something like it, atleast a bargain price.

Dunno what to do now so.

    Seriously???????
The prices will not be put up the night before which is Christmas day, and who would actually go looking for sales on Christmas day
If you don't want to deal with crowds, then don't go to the shops buy online.
