Hey guys, so my WR on both front lhs and front rhs of my 03 VW Passat are gone. And Ive failed nct because of them. (A common VW Passat problem for the older model)

Im just looking for parts, I see some parts on MicksGarage.com

There are two pieces listed for both Left and Right hand sides, do I need both, or are they both the same type of thing,

Sorry I know nothing of this, I just want to get the bits and bring to my local garage to install

    Thanks

The bottom two are marked wrong. They're actually rear ones.

You should've only failed on the drivers window regulator. As far as I know there's no requirement for the passenger one to work.

Did you price the parts from the garage?

There mightn't be much in it, and if the garage supplies the part it'll be at the lower rate of vat.

Maybe a stupid question, you are 100% sure the regulators are non functional? I'm just asking because you may actually only have button console problems, now that would be a more common problem......

Ya both windows are grinding like crazy, the passenger side doesn't open or close, the driver side drops and I can pull by hand, the window up freely back into position.

Thanks for the feedback folks. :)

Right so there grinding, soooo the motors are in good nick! check online for a kit, saved my uncle about 300€ couple of weeks ago, his Opel Meriva window wouldn't work.. He took it apart himself and found one off the plastic cable guides had snapped, anyway he got a quote from 'his' garage for about 300€(apparently he'd need a new regulator). I got him a regulator kit for about 20€ with shipping, he installed the guide himself(very easily)and still has the rest of the kit....... Not saying you have the same issue, but you never know.
