Can anyone put a ball park figure on how much approx a 170m2 raft should cost for labour alone. All ground work completed prior. The job includes the following:

Setting up 70 linear meters of shuttering pans (450mm),
    Placing prefabricated beam cages,
Fixing approx 40 sheets of A393
    Pouring concrete

    Any info appreciated.

    Hey hexosan
Will the formwork be placed on level ground or will it be placed/sank into a trench for support

Just personally i have avoided shuttering pans to form rafts over the years, and make up the formwork from shuttering grade ply and 4x2 framing. The reason for this is that you can have strong fixing points/braces anywhere you need fairly quickly and each form made to measure. Also these braces can extend inwards to form/support the step in the raft for your blockwork/Dpc,and when you think there is enough support/struts/ braces, Add more. The outward pressure of 600+ mms of poured concrete is huge.

70 linear meters, how many external/internal corners are involved?
If just square with four external corners, the pans would work with maybe a small amount of formwork for accuracy, its just my preference for timber forms and ease of fixing/bracing.

A concrete pump is an absolute must for pouring, as is a vibrator/poker.
A laser level and staff set up to keep things going right.

Site is leveled with all ground work for raft completed. The house has 12 corners

Imo i would estimate the cost to be in the region of E2,000.
