    Hi,

Drove my car into work this morning, all was going well until I needed to reverse. I put it into reverse (yes i pushed down and went to the far left!), instead of reversing the car went forward.

Later, I drove home. Same issue, no reverse and now:

    Reverse -Feels like 3rd
    1st gear -Feels like 3rd
2nd gear -Seems to work fine
    3rd gear -4th gear
    4th gear -4th gear
    5th gear -5th gear

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Someone else had a similar problem on here a while back, think it was the linkage?

Gear linkages would be the first place to look alright

Hi thanks for all the help. I went to my local mechanic and he fixed the problem in 10 minutes. The gears were out of link, they all shifted to the left, so reverse, 1st and 2nd gear were not linked / working.
He had to bolt/move those gears back in and now its working perfect.

Odd for them to just pop out but I'm glad it was a simple fix. :)

Must have been doing a rally to knock them out. :p
