thinking about getting a Precista

I'm thinking about getting a Precista from to effectors for Christmas. The prs18, prs3 and prs all look nice but I'm leaning towards the prs 18q because I really like the idea of a low maintenance 10 year quartz. My only concern is that it might look small on my 7.5inch wrists. I'm wondering if anyone here has an opinion or if any one have experience of these watches in the flesh?

In my experience, I have had the PRS-9, 41mm across, 44mm with crown

I am also 7.5 inch wrist, and I found it did fit well but the dial was only 30mm in diameter and I found it very difficult to see the time

The ones you mention also have 30mm dials

I alway get confused with the small - far way thing and forget that the photos i see are all closeup and the watch aint really that big

But then, the old peepers are going and really need to wear my glasses more

The narrower a man’s mind, the broader his statements.

Thanks for the advice. I'm think I'll pull the trigger on the 18q though. The price looks good. It will probably replace my Protrek prg510, which I find a little bit too awkward looking sometimes. My other watches are a Rado Jubilee and a Seiko Sarb035 so I'm guessing the 30mm dial will be OK especially given that it's uncluttered. Wish I could try them on before I buy.

The first one of the pictures is sweet, but the rest are a bit of meh' for some reason the look retro but not the cool retro more like the who the hell designed this...retro.

The comment about dial size has been bugging me all week. The more I think about it the more I think you may be right. Luckily the tf ship was closed last week so I didn't order the 18. I think I'll save for a speedy pro instead now. I'm even starting to get over the 'first watch on the moon' engraving. Does any one else find such overt marketing a bit silly looking? Maybe that's a different thread...
