Due a cheque from revenue in the post today but can't really afford to wait the brutal "5 working days" for it to clear into my account. Can these be cashed with ID?

Pretty sure no, it usually says a/c payee only on it. Should only take 2 working days for cheque to lodge - it it takes 5 days then this is your banks fault.

I would lodge it into Credit Union Thrifty account and they pay me most of the amount
