    Hello,

can anyone give me a rough idea of the cost for an implant + crown (lower jaw, rear tooth). Prefer to get it done nearby (Dublin area) - are any of the clinics good ?

Lastly - can any of the cost be recovered from VHI/dental insurance (I know some will be tax deductible at 20%).

    Thanks.

It depends on a number of factors.
    1. The need for bone graft.
    2. The need for a temporary.
    3. The condition of the adjacent teeth.
    4. Type of implant and type of crown.
    5. The quality of the implant and the quality of the crown.
    6. The person doing it, their training, experience and pricing structure, Specialist or not.

In general you would pay between 2 and 3 thousand for a single implant. Your DeCare may contribute some am amount. Its all tax allowable.
