What DNS are you using? Could you try googles public DNS?
I think there might be a traffic issue with certain providers accessing Eircom services and IP's.... just a hunch.

EDIT: Also, what mail server are ye using in Outlook?

I've being having this issue for the last few days on and off. I've been alternating between "webmail@eircom.net" and "mail1.eircom.net" which has kept it going for the most part.

Spoke to eircom tech as I was having problems.

They said it depends on what ISP you are using. If you connect on UPC or WI max there are problems. I'm UPC

I tethered my iPhone and switched off UPC and low and behold, no problems !

Called UPC prior to that and they said its an EIRCOM problem.

I didn't test on open DNS via UPC but its worth a try

Ps. Two different recipients. Both bounced by Spamcop. What's that?
