Hello, does anyone know of a child gaining a place in one of these schools if they are > 200 on the waiting list ?
Our boy is at around this place in a number of ET schools for JI 2015. If you query it with the school, they say - oh you never know, etc - but I am trying to get to the bottom of whether there is actually any chance in hell of him really being offered a place.

It totally depends on how many kids they take in and if there are other local schools.
If they are a 3 stream school then yes he probably has a chance but if they are single stream I doubt it.

Have you asked them if they could tell you what no. on pre-enrollment list got offered last place in previous years? Also could depend if they operate sibling policy as well as just pre-enrolment list? If they are all relatively close to each other it could depend on how many children are on the list for all of them and how popular other local schools are and the school would have no idea of this.
