What's out there in this country?
I know there is an Isabella in Kilgarvan motor museum, what else is around?

GZC 519 lives in the north Wicklow area, it used occasionally, so not just a show queen. Gorgeous looking car.

There's a lot more of them around than you'd think. I know of 4 or 5 of them, mostly white and on old Irish regs too.

Great stuff lads, the reason I asked is that I was reading up on Carl Borgward, such a pity it all fell apart in the end.

there was one in Kanturk but I'm not sure if it's around still as there was very little left after it was sandblasted

I have always had an interest in Borgwards. When I was young therw was a smaller version than those shown atvthenrear of a local garage. I knew there was no engine in it and since the world was full of old anglias , 105e, I fondly thought of purting an anglia engine in it. Aa I got a bit more knowledgable, I found out that the borgward was transverse engine, inthink.
Would you believe it I was in that garage yesterday and can recall where it sat.45 years ago!!!!
Anyway re thenones above, thwre was one , cream, on the web a few years ago in CORK, dear enough asking price, often wondered about it, perhaps you are referring to it, grim reaper
    Regards

There was 2 Arabella's lying in a field ne me about 15 years ago. One was bought as a spares car for the other. Were owned by the local postman, and when the engine blew up in the first one he had, he bought the other for the engine. It lasted a few years, and then needed a rebore. the machine shop did not clean the grit out properly and it only lasted a few weeks. He give up then, and the 2 cars lay rusting from the late 1960's till about 1988. He wanted them shifted and I put an ad in Buy and Sell for him. A lad came from Limerick and brought the best one, and all he could remove from the other.
I lifted it onto his trailer with the digger with a big silage buckrake on front, He got about 2 sq. yards of topsoil and grass as a luck-penny!

I still have a grill and a handful of engine parts if any one needs....

there's an Isabella under restoration in Stradbally, Co. Laois, or there was a few months ago at least. I'd imagine it's still there, it looked like a big job :)
