    Hi all

I recently got a stove and I'm using it all the time, so popping out for a bag of firewood every few days is driving me mad! So I've cleared out the shed to have somewhere to store a bulk buy of wood.

Now my problem is I don't know who to buy from! There are so many stockists out there. So I'm looking for recommendations for a supplier of good quality, good value kiln dried hardwood, who will deliver to south dublin area.

    Thanks all!

Thanks for that- I just had a look there though and unless I'm living in Celbridge, delivery will be e35. Was hoping for cheaper than that??

is there a reason u wont just use coal too? no comparison. coal better value but using both produces best value and heat.

My sister has used these guys http://firewooddublin.ie/ for the last year or two.... she's very happy with them.

Now, she's not burning the wood in a stove, so I can't answer for the dryness of the wood - but they swear by them.

The website suggests that they're temporarily out of action (or limited in some way), but my sister got a delivery not long ago so they're not gone to the wall, I don't think.......

ETA - she's Dublin south city centre

I have bought off hotlogs.ie before and am currently awaiting a delivery of kiln dried oak.

Not affiliated with them, but the wood I got previously was top notch.

    They look great! Thanks!
Only issue is I just checked and my side passage way is just short of the 1 metre they'd need to get the pallet in the back? Would the bag be too big to drag the rest of the way?

Google Mooney Fire wood for seasoned logs, he does them on a pallet and in smaller bags if you like. Either way 15/20 minutes will see you empty and re stack a 1m3 bag. You can use your wheelie bin as barrow!

Oh yeah, standing on the pallet the top of the bag must be at least 5 feet high.
