    Hello,

I'm looking for abit of help. I recently upgraded my sky box to the latest black one with loads of memory and wifi built in.

I'm left with my old grey sky box which I'd like to set up in the kitchen with the free to air channels.

My question is what cables do I need to do this? The cables to the new sky box run quite close to where I want to put the tv in the kitchen - is there a way of using these cables and taking a line off of them for the FTA old sky box?

I'm abit clueless on this stuff.

if you go outside and look at your satelite dish (maybe tomorrow morning) and check the LNB (this thing:)

and make sure there is one free port left.

You have to run a wire from there to where you want to put the box in your kitchen. The cable you need to do this is called coax cable and can be found all over the web fairly cheap. And sometimes in localshops. Theres several videos online on how to cut the wire and put the heads on it just search on youtube.

Great, thanks for the quick response and help with this.

Presuming I can get that done - is there any other set up needed or will it automatically pick up the FTA channels?

You simply need to run a cable from the lnb shown in picture to the room you needed, make sure no card is inserted and that should be it.

if you remove the card and do a factory reset, it will default to UK setting and let you pickup the FTA English channels.
