Thrifting in Dublin

So we've all heard of it. Essentially second hand shops. Only, the shops in Dublin tend to be of the "Temple Bar / hippie chic" style. The Harlequin on Castle Market St also springs to mind.

I'm looking for somewhere I could pick up suits and ties, high quality stuff, rather than cheap and nasty vintage stuff.

    Anyone got any suggestions?

Hi, I think luck is a big factor in whether you leave with a great bargain, and of course the more rummage time you have the better.
There are a good few charity shops in the northside, Pittsboro has 4, the Stoneybatter area has a couple also, incl a good one tucked away in the Tesco shopping centre at the top of Prussia street. Finglas village has a couple also.
Wicklow St in D2 has a few good ones too.
    Good luck with your shopping!

Rathmines has lots of good ones. I know a girl who got a grandpa sweater for €2 in a rathmines charity shop and it looked really well on her

I visited some of the second hand shops on George's Street lately and was not impressed at all- everything stank of BO

Dublin Flea Market in on the last Sunday of the month, got a few cool bits at the last one! A Zara jumper for €3 and an Adidas black with gold stripe zip up hoodie for €4!
