CALLING ALL MARATHON COACHES; club athlete needs your help

Can any of you help me. I'm a 31 year old female, running all my life (since 12yo). I've run everything from track and field 3k, to road races 5km to half marathons with good local and club success. I’ve recently concentrated on marathons having run 3 with a current pb of 3.02 this year. I'm currently self coached but would love to get under the wing of a knowledgeable coach, who could direct me in the right path. I know I'm capable of achieving 2.55 marathons (and under) if I had some help and advice. I train solo except for my long weekend and mid-week runs when my partner keeps me company. Although I’m in an athletic club its use to me is nil as it’s mostly a juvenile throwing and sprinters club with no specified long distance coach. I am the only senior female in the club at this level as the others are mostly fit-for-life. I'm currently stuck at this point but the potential is there to improve. I’d really appreciate if someone here could either direct me to a good qualified (level 3+) long distance /marathon coach willing to take on a club female athlete.

Also are any of you coached by a distance coach and if so how does it work?

    List of my PB’s
    Distance PB
    3km 10.38
    5km 18.05
    4mile 24.24
    10km 38.55
    10miles 1.03.38
    Half marathon 1.24.33
    Marathon 3.02.05

Any advice / help would be greatly appreciated.

Where are you based? There are a few coaches on here who have coached males and females to that level however to the best of my knowledge none of which have level three or higher qualifications (the argument of the value of a piece of paper is for another day before anyone goes down that road)

However if you are looking for someone with this sort of recognised qualification your best bet is to contact one of the regional development officers who can put you in touch with someone who has attained this level of qualification through the AAI framework

Others here may be able to put you in touch with coaches who may not have that level of official qualifications yet have the experience of developing athletes at your level and higher.

Best of luck in the future

    There's a training log here

of someone who is using the McMillan online coaching team, might be an option?

Or, as ecoli says, ask an RDO to put you in touch with a suitable coach in your area.

ecoli himself has plenty of experience coaching distance runners over email, and there are a few more like him on boards.

Thanks a million Ecoli for this info. I'm based in the munster region but the coach wouldn't necessarily have to be from this part of the world. If anyone here has experience at coaching (without level 3) I'd really appreciate their advice also.
