    Hi

Anybody got an idea of price installing an external expansion vessel /safety valve onto an existing boiler. The expansion vessel would be external to the boiler as the cost to take boiler of the wall etc..

got quoted 260 parts and labor.
    good or bad?

Depending on the position of the boiler their vessels are actually easy to change , either by lifting it out the back or just removing the boiler from the wall . Not sure on the cost of the vessel tho . I've often taken the boiler down rather than drain the whole system

I agree, very easy to change. A bit of a wriggle to check the pipe through though. From memory, I that vessel cost about €80 + vat.
