    Hi,

    <SNIP>

    Not only was it a terrible display of sportsmanship, but someone could have been seriously injured.
    Do you think this type of thing is worth reporting to anyone, maybe to <snip> gamesmaster or even the Leinster Branch??

    Cheers

    if it is a friendly they are sort of entitled to play anyone they like so there isn't much the branch will do(other than look if it should have been a red card,in the absence of video there is only the ref) report it to your gamesmaster-have it passed on to <snip> gamesmaster. These things happen in schools rugby unfortunately. Some schools worse for it than others.
    In all likelihood the school wouldn't have done it deliberately(as you said just one coach)chances are his mates were playing and they asked him to play. In the absence of a coach to stop them that's probably what happened.

    To be honest there's a lot of speculation in this post and it's not fair as the accused parties don't have the ability to defend themselves. So I've editted the post and locked the thread. To answer your question though you can make a formal complaint through your club and they'll contact the branch if they believe an offence has been caused. Bearing in mind that these type of issues can effects all the clubs teams with even the senior teams being deducted points (providing it was a metro league game).
