I'ed like some advise on where to send my son for primary school.
We have the choice of a really good gaelscoil in an awkward place, a really good co-ed school that doesn't do much sports and a standard (neither glowing or terrible reports) boys school that does hurling and speech and drama and thats about it.
What would influence the choice if it was yours??

For me it would be the Gaelscoil but that is my general preference.
They learn 2 languages from the 1st day,and they are mixed.
I would also choose one that could be walked to.

I would put his name down in both the co-ed ones and see which he gets.

I would suggest you make an appointment to visit each school to help you make up your own mind. Don't be swayed too much by one parent's opinion, the issue may be their child, not the school! If you are even thinking of a Gaelscoil ,get the name down asap, you can always remove the name from the list later if you so wish.

We actually have gotten a place in both, thank goodness.
