Anyone else not able to sleep coz of the mad high winds tonight? Am bit freaked out coz sounds like a feckin tornado out there. My house is making funny noises and I am petrified.

Na, I love the sound of the wind at night when I am cosy in bed. A neughbour of mine lived on a cliff right next to the sea, when he went to England to work the landlady of the house he stayed in used to throw basins of water up at his bedroom window so he could sleep at night.

Usually doesn't bother me but when you sleep in a basement and a large house is creaking above you its a bit frightening!

Going to get clothes dry on the clothesline thanks to the wind. Hate when it's calm, feel more energetic when there's a wind, don't know why though;)

windier than a vegan's trousers up here now!

gotta say I love it. there's something special about hearing a gust coming at you through the trees for 10 seconds before it blasts you!

Or, as reported by Met Eireann this morning (via Twitter, admittedly) :

RTE weather report this morning: "Grainne's Gap is blocked between Buncrana and Muff".
