This looks like it will be near the top of my CAO list this year. Can anyone doing the course give me some info about it?
Does it allow you to enter other engineering career paths?
Is there a good chance of getting a decent job ?(abroad or Ireland)
    How much CAD is involved?
What do you think of the course?
Does a portfolio give you a better chance of getting a place?

I know there are 1 or 2 threads about this already, but not a lot of info.

My Brother is in there now.

Engineering heavy more so than design so far, plenty of cad/solidworks etc etc.
Good course to lead onto manufacturing type/industrial design as well as quality control, and business professions.
He likes it,say's it's a course that makes you think like an engineer, designer and entrepreneur rather than one discipline but is in depth in all areas.
    Not an artsy course.
Portfolio is irrelevant as far as i know.

I'll get more info off him the next time i see him for you.
