    Hi all,
I'm 25 and have been living in Dublin city for eight months now and finding it hard to meet new people/ make new friends here. Just wondering is anyone in the same boat or have suggestions on good clubs to join??
    Thanks

Depends on your interests, I would say.

If you are interested in football, why not coming down to a match?

I'll second that - and there are several hundred other meetup groups in Dublin. There's one for every interest! :D

If you are living in North side Dublin, this group has been recently created on facebook for international people living there. Obviously it's up to you whether you wanna mingle with people from other nationalities or just with Irish people!

Another +1 for Meetup.com here. If you have an interest which has a dedicated group, go for that. Otherwise http://www.meetup.com/20-Somethins/ might be a good one for you? Or maybe http://www.meetup.com/The-Young-Dublin-Get-Together/?

Have you attended any of the meetups? Is it usually the same people turning up or is there always new faces? I feel tempted to attend some of them but always feel like it's gonna be too awkward.
