    Hi there,

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I've searched a bit and can't find an answer. I've already got an answer for Apple devices

Is it possible to set up a new Windows Store account for a new Windows tablet using a Bank of Ireland Visa Debit Card? And can the card be used for buying Apps etc. once the Tablet is up and running?

    Thanks...

    J.

Visa Debit as used in Ireland's basically interchangeable with Visa credit cards for most things. There's another type of Visa Debit card called Electron that's not used here by the banks anyway.

Sometimes it's used for prepay cards, and in the UK and elsewhere it's used for cards on accounts with no credit history or where the person's very young or a credit risk sometimes. The difference is that the transactions must be processed online so you can't go overdrawn.

With the cards that replaced Laser, they can be processed off line but usually are processed live online by most terminals and websites.
