Aer Lingus at Dublin Airport

    Hi All.
    Quick question.

When flying Aer Lingus, Do all flights from Dublin to Manchester go from the gates in T1 or is it a combo of both. The reason I ask is that if it is the case that I would be using the T1 gates, I would much rather be looking at the shops or grabbing a drink in T1 rather than T2

Terminal 2 officially, but gates in T1 are used occasionally. Both terminals are connected after security anyway, so you can go between.

Thanks. If it was always the case, I would just head straight over to T1. Plus the garden terrace has an outdoor area :-)

They do the T1/T2 nonsense on the Aer Lingus/Aer Arann Newcastle route too.

Go to Terminal 2, check in, do security, walk through the tunnel thing to T1, pass the T1 security section and then on the way back do the reverse. You have to go through baggage reclaim in T2 even though you've no baggage and just passed within metres of the way out in T1.

Great fun if you're with a person with a slight mobility issue - especially when you need to get back to T1 to get the bus to your car park (quickpark). Not a DAA person in sight of course.

And Bristol, we checked in at T2 last July and ended up at a gate in the old Pier B with the rustic pub and the circle of departure gates.
