Without trying to be smart, money? Seriously, the cost of printing notes and photocopying stuff is horrendous. Maybe spend a small amount on fluffy PJs or something, but money was always welcome when I was a student!

As a college student I'd say maybe an electric blanket if she's living away from home? Keep her warm in the student accommodation.

If not, new pjs, slippers and dressing gown can't be beaten, with a copy of her favourite film if you have the cash.

An Ikea fleece blanket. They cost from 4 euro, some for 10'euro check on line for choice. Love them for warmth under a quilt.

    These are very practical ...

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B000KGCO30/ref=pd_aw_cart_recs_2?pi=SS115&qid=1386214578&sr=1-5

You can bake with them - like a pie or lasagne
Store food in them - stick the lid on
    Freeze food in them
Eat food directly out them - less dishes
Reheat food - open one corner of lid and pop in microwave
The lid can help to remove hot dinner slid under the glass
The lid can be used as a place mat !

I hate cooked food stored in plastic tubaware it's so more appealing in glass.

Lots of sizes to choose from but the 1.5 litre is a good all rounder, big enough for cooking a small lasagne. So x2 of those and one or two smaller ones as well perhaps.

Amazing product. I didn't have these as a student but would have loved them.

    Well I'm currently a psychology student and have to say that the any of the following would suit me;
snuggly blanket - for all that studying
gift card for a massage - very tense shoulders!
Gift token for book shop (or amazon)

I can't think of anything specifically psychology based, although http://www.redbubble.com/explore/psychology have some really cool gifts that might be what you are looking for.
