Advice on poetry essay

    I'm answering this question from the 2011 paper on Yeats: “Yeats can be a challenging poet to read both in terms of style and subject matter”. To what extent do you agree with this statement? Support your answer with suitable reference to the poetry on your course.

    I'm kind of lost on how to go about it. I'm doing it poem-by-poem, and not by themes. I'm wondering on the long poems like "The Wild Swans at Coole", is it ok to go from stanza one, to two, to three, to four, to five and discuss each one, including my own personal opinion, etc?
