Ideas for a Retro Games night in pub?

A friend of mine asked me to help him run a games night/retro games night in a pub in Mullingar, it would be fairly low key and on a quiet night. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to structure it. Was thinking something safe along the lines of a Street Fighter 2 tournament but surely there's more we could do alongside that. We have so far a SNES, Megadrive, PS2, Dreamcast and an XBOX360 to work with.

    Any help would be great.

going by your username, I'd go with a wrestling games night.
if you could get 2 multitaps you can do 6 players at once on any of the ps2 games.
could even make it fancy dress, Brother! :D

Multitap battle royals, sure. Walking around Mullingar in speedos at night, unlikely.

I'd say street fighter 4 on the 360 would be a safe bet aswell and the dreamcast....maybe typing of the dead :D

Power Stone on the DC would be great

Sensible soccer would be a good fun choice for a sports game.

    Mario kart is a must.

You can't go wrong with Street fighter II Tournament on the SNES but SF4 on the Xbox might be easier

SSFIIX on the 3DO, great version of the game on the greatest console of all time.

    Sir, lets take this outside.
Myself and Ciderman will sort ya out.

On a serious note, its a great conversion and looks very well on my RGB modded 3DO(actually, a lot of the 2D games on the 3DO look really nice via RGB).

4 player Bomberman is always a laugh. Easy for newcomers to pick up as well.

I think the Saturn version does 10 player but that's a bit cost prohibitive perhaps.

yeah Saturn Bomberman was a real laugh, I had good times with red dog and San Francisco Rush 2049 on the dreamcast, real 4 player mayhem.
