Moving address before claim has been processed?

I made a claim for JA 1 month ago and was informed that it would take between 2-4 weeks. I was in receipt of JA but signed off for 1 month as I took up temporary work which involved moving to a new area.

I then went into the office of my new local area when I finished work to sign on again. It seems i'm waiting for the letter for a new means test, which even though I only got 1 month of admin work my means have not really changed.

Here is my issue, I am moving to another part of the country again to be closer to dublin for interviews etc... what is the best practice for informing social welfare about moving before your claim has been processed at the address of that time?

Basically i'm moving tomorrow as a better property at a lower price has become available and my month to month lease is up.

Do I just go into social welfare in my new town and inform them of such? or do I need to go into social welfare office where my claim was initially made?

I really don't want to lose out on my backdated payment from the office where I was living for that one month, and I just know my claim will be bumped to the very back of the queue again

any info/advice would be greatly appreciated

You go into sw office in the town you are moving to with proof of address and ID and ask for you claim to be transferred. While you are waiting for this to happen you can contact the community welfare officer in the area and apply for supplementary welfare allowance. Depending on the town you are moving to the cwo may be working in the sw office or sw can tell you where and when clinics are held.
