Not sure if this has been discussed anywhere (I couldn't find it). Chiefs to play Toulon on the first weekend of Feb.

It'll be interesting to see what type of squad The Chiefs send North, will it have all their All Blacks?

I'm thinking it won't as I read a press release from The Hurricanes saying they wouldn't have their All Blacks back until 28 Jan and I'd imagine it'll be the same with The Chiefs.

I think there's a free week in the calendar for Toulon because of the 6N and they're one of only a few clubs who could field a strong team due to having few home current Internationals.

It was arranged by Toulon not the ERC or IRB as far as I know.

What I've read is that the ABs will travel but not play...there are a few fringe ABs in the Chiefs, but I imagine the likes of Messam, Retallick, probably Cruden & Cane won't be taking the field. Should still be competitive enough, the Chiefs have recruited pretty well during the off-season, including that old sly dog Mils Muliaina (who may well play 13, as he doesn't have the blistering pace of old).
